Vapi Assistants API

Create and manage Vapi voice assistants. An assistant bundles a transcriber, LLM, voice (TTS), server URL, tools, first message, system prompt, voicemail handling, and call analysis plan into a reusable voice agent configuration that can be attached to inbound or outbound phone numbers, web calls, or squads.

Vapi Assistants API is one of 15 APIs that Vapi publishes on the APIs.io network, described by a machine-readable OpenAPI specification.

This API exposes 1 machine-runnable capability that can be deployed as REST, MCP, or Agent Skill surfaces via Naftiko and 2 JSON Schema definitions.

Tagged areas include Assistants, Voice AI, and Agents. The published artifact set on APIs.io includes API documentation, an OpenAPI specification, sample payloads, 1 Naftiko capability spec, and 2 JSON Schemas.
